Attracting the best available talent

what does it mean . . .

Today's employee is looking for more than just a job and a paycheck.  The expectations of the potential employee are high:

  • Does the company "look" like me?
  • Do they understand and appreciate my needs?
  • Is there a "real" opportunity for growth?

Saying so, is not enough.  To successfully attract the best available talent, you will need to demonstrate that your organization answers these questions.

Retaining your talent

What does it take . . .

You can't stop at simply getting the talent in the door.  You have to work to keep them there.  Organizations need to create an environment where employees "want" to stay.  Employees want to:

  • be involved
  • be respected
  • be included
  • be understood

Utilizing the talent you have

what do you have to do . . .

Your organization's talent is your differentiator.  It keeps you competitive.  Given the nature of business today, you can't afford to not fully utilize everyone in the organization.  That is easier said than done.

  • is everyone working to their full potential?
  • are there "barriers" in place to some employees?
  • is "inclusion" part of your overall business strategy?
